If you are temporarily traveling outside Canada
Currently, access to the Bitbuy platform may be restricted in certain countries due to security updates. If you’re traveling in a restricted area, you may encounter the “403” and “1020” error codes.
In some cases, accessing Bitbuy through a VPN connected to a Canadian server may allow you to log in; however, VPNs can sometimes cause other issues, so we cannot guarantee that this will resolve the problem. Unfortunately, we are unable to comment on or recommend specific VPN services.
In some instances, temporary access can be granted after getting in touch with our support team. If this is not possible, you will have to wait until you have returned to Canada to access the platform.
If you have permanently moved outside Canada
We can only serve Canadian residents per our regulators, access from outside of Canada—especially from certain countries— is restricted. If this is the case, please contact our support team for next steps.
If you are currently in Canada and experiencing login issues
If you’re using the app, ensure it is up to date.
Check whether you are using a VPN and deactivate it if that is the case. Using a VPN while in Canada may interfere with our platform and cause login issues. If this does not work, please get in touch with our support team for assistance.
