Can I update my e-Transfer security question and answer?

How to update your e-Transfer security question and answer

Some banks require you to enter a unique security question and answer for each e-Transfer you send. If you are required to do so, you can follow the steps outlined below to generate a new e-Transfer security question and answer.

If you are not required to do so by your bank, you can continue to reuse the existing e-Transfer security question and answer within your Bitbuy account.

 

Website - Steps for mobile app below

1) Sign in to your Bitbuy account and click on 'Add Funds' and then 'Use e-Transfer'

2) Click on the 'Generate new security question & answer' button

Click on the button to generate a new security question and answer for e-Transfer funding. 

Please note that you will be able to generate a new security question and answer only if you have previously used the current security question and answer that is being displayed.

Mobile App

1) Sign in to your Bitbuy account and click on 'Deposit' and 'Canadian Dollar (CAD)' and 'Interac e-Transfer'

2) Click on the 'Generate new security question & answer' button

Click on the button to generate a new security question and answer for e-Transfer funding. 

Please note that you will be able to generate a new security question and answer only if you have previously used the current security question and answer that is being displayed.
