What is ‘Gold’ Status?

In order to obtain access to higher transaction limits and other funding options such as wire transfers, you'll need to transition your account to ‘Gold’ status.

 

The benefits: You will be able to fund your account with amounts greater than $10,000 and have the option to work with an Account Manager for wire deposit transactions. You will also have access to specific services, such as our OTC (Over-The-Counter) Trading Desk, to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your Bitbuy experience. 

 

The application for Gold account status is automatically initiated when you request a transaction over a specific threshold, such as initiating a wire transfer or a large e-transfer. At that point you will be directed to fill out a Bitbuy User Questionnaire, which should only take a few minutes of your time. At this point account activity, including your ability to transact will be paused. This is a security measure and while only temporary, your application may take a few business days to review. Once you've filled out the questionnaire our team will review the application. When your account has been approved by our team you will regain full access and your account activity can resume.
