What to do if you are running into issues when signing in to your Bitbuy account
1. Creating your new Bitbuy username
Every Bitbuy user will be required to create a username when signing in to the newly upgraded Bitbuy platform for the first time.
This means that you must use your email address and password your first time logging in to the new platform.
After you have created your Bitbuy username, your username will be used to sign in moving forward in place of your email address.
You will receive an email with your Bitbuy username, confirming that it has been created.
2. Entering your Bitbuy username to sign in
After you have created your Bitbuy username, it will be used to sign in to your Bitbuy account. At this point, email address is no longer accepted when signing in to your Bitbuy account.
If you forgot your username, please click here to have it emailed to you.
3. Verifying a new device to access your Bitbuy account
After you have successfully signed in to the newly upgraded Bitbuy platform, you will be required to verify each additional device (computer, phone, tablet, etc.) that you use to sign in to your Bitbuy account.
You will need to click on the 'Register Device' button in the device verification email that is sent to you. Once a device has been verified, you will be able to log in without any issues.
The device verification will be sent to the email address that is associated with your Bitbuy account. If you do not see it in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder.
Please note that this is only required for a new device AFTER your first sign in
4. Signing in from a different country or while using a VPN
Certain areas outside of Canada are blocked from accessing Bitbuy for security reasons. If you are located in Canada and using a VPN to access your Bitbuy account and experiencing difficulties signing in, we suggest turning off your VPN.
If you are unable to log in your Bitbuy account after following the steps above, please email email@example.com and we will assist you as soon as possible.
