I don't have a utility bill - what can I do?

Alternatives you can provide in place of a utility bill when submitting your verification documents

If you cannot provide a utility bill, you can send any of the below documents in place of one. The name and address on your document must match the name and address on your Bitbuy profile.

  • A statement issued by a Canadian government body 
    • CPP statement
    • Property tax assessment issued by a municipality
    • Provincially-issued vehicle registration
  • Benefits statement 
  • CRA documents (Must have your address on it)
    • Notice of assessment
    • Requirement to pay notice
    • GST refund letter
    • Installment reminder/receipt
  • T4 statement

Please Note:

  • We can only accept electronic documents, meaning the original e-bill/e-statement that is directly downloaded from your provider's website
  • The document you provide us must be authentic, valid, and current, with no obstructions or modifications
  • If you are sending an electronic document, please upload the original e-bill/e-statement that is directly downloaded from your provider's website
  • The document cannot be a screenshot or photo of a screen
