To complete your account verification, you'll need to do two things:
- Verify your personal identity
- Complete Risk Profile
How to verify your personal identity
There are three ways to verify your identity on Bitbuy:
1. Automatic Verification
When creating your Bitbuy account, the personal information you enter (name, address, date of birth, etc.) gets passed through our third-party identity verification service, which will confirm your identity and verify your account instantly.
2. Express Verification
If automatic verification doesn't work for you, then you'll need to proceed to scan your Drivers License or Identity card, and take a selfie to complete identity verification.
3. Manual Verification
In the case where your account does not pass automatic verification or ID and selfie scanning, you will be required to upload verification documents in order to verify your account.

Complete Risk and Financial Profile
As required by Canadian regulations, we must ask you a few questions about your risk profile and financial profile in order to start trading. Your answers will be assessed to determine if investing in cryptocurrencies are suitable for you based on your risk tolerance, investment objectives, investment knowledge, and time horizon for your investments, as well as your financial situation to establish appropriate net purchase limits.
