Selling Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies with your Bitbuy account
Website (instructions for the mobile app below)
1) Navigate to the Express Trade page of your account
Once logged in, click on 'Express Trade' located at the top of the page. Make sure to click the 'Sell' button which will appear in red.
2) Locate the cryptocurrency you want to sell
Click the drop-down and locate the cryptocurrency you want to sell.
3) Complete your sale
Enter the amount that you are looking to sell, and the dollar value of your sell will be displayed below under 'Transaction summary'. When you are ready to continue, click the 'Sell' button to complete the process.
Mobile App
1) Navigate to the 'Accounts' section of your account
Sign in to your Bitbuy account and you will be automatically directed to the 'Accounts' section of your account. If you are already logged in, click on 'Wallets' in the bottom right corner of the navigation bar.
2) Locate the cryptocurrency you want to sell
Locate the cryptocurrency you want to send to your Bitbuy account and click on the 'Sell' button.
3) Complete your sale
Enter the amount of cryptocurrency you are looking to sell, and the amount of Canadian dollars you will receive will be displayed below. When you are ready to continue, click the 'Place Sell Order' button to complete the process.
