How do I fund my Bitbuy account via e-Transfer?

Funding your Bitbuy account via e-Transfer

Before you begin please note:

  • Submitting a funding request in your Bitbuy account is necessary every time you send an e-Transfer.
  • The payment must come from an account bearing your name 

Website (instructions for the mobile app below)

1) Start your funding request

Sign in to your Bitbuy account and click on 'Add Funds'

2) Choose your funding method

Select 'Interac e-Transfer'

3) Enter the amount you are sending

Enter the dollar amount that you are sending in your e-Transfer and click on 'Next'

4) Send your e-Transfer

Sign in to your financial institution's online banking platform and send your e-Transfer. Please ensure to include the required message/memo, to avoid any potential delays in the funding process.

If it is your first time sending an e-Transfer to us, you will need to add us as a recipient using the name and email address we provide.

IMPORTANT: Bitbuy is set up to auto-deposit incoming e-Transfers. If your bank requires a security question/answer, please use the security question/answer provided.

Click on 'Submit', and your Bitbuy account will be credited within our listed timeframes. If your account has not been credited within our listed time frames, please click here

Mobile App

1) Start your funding request

Sign in to your Bitbuy account and click on 'Add Funds'

2) Choose your funding method

Select 'Interac e-Transfer'

3) Enter the amount you are sending and submit

Enter the dollar amount that you are sending in your e-Transfer and click on 'Submit and view details'.

3) Send your e-Transfer 

Sign in to your financial institution's online banking platform and send your e-Transfer. Please ensure to include the required message/memo, to avoid any potential delays in the funding process. After this is done, scroll down and click 'Next'.
