Bitbuy offers CAD funding via Bill Payment, which is a convenient way to deposit up to $100,000 CAD per transaction. Bill payments are easy to initiate via your online banking, and only requires a one-time setup of adding a payee.
How to initiate a bill pay deposit:
1. To fund your account using Bill Pay, login to your Bitbuy account and click on the Deposit button
2. Choose Bill Pay option:
3. Next, copy the payee name and account number (this account number is unique to you):
4. Once you have copied the payee information, sign in to your online banking or mobile banking app
5. Navigate to the “Pay Bills” section or equivalent in your online bank account
6. Add a payee, and use the payee name and account number you copied*
7. Send a bill payment with your desired deposit amount
Once sent, your deposit will be processed and received within 2-3 business days. Once you've added the payee details once, subsequent deposits will only require you to specify an amount, you will not need to add a new payee again.
*IMPORTANT: The payee name and account number must match what is shown in step 3 in your Bitbuy account.
Bill pay funding method is currently not available for CIBC or Simplii bank accounts.
